To personalize, we use a capital block font for all lettering. In most cases we can match other details of your bunker coat. Please email us a clear picture of the back of your bunker gear coat. Please lay your coat flat for best results.

FAQ

Do you have orange reflective striping and/or lettering?

We offer uniforms finished with lime/yellow reflective striping. As a result, we cannot offer orange striping or lettering. There are a few Fire Departments that have orange striping and lettering. Many customers that want us to match their orange striped/lettered bunker gear love ours anyway as we can match the layout of the back. 

Do you sell just the pants or jacket separately?

We sell the uniforms as sets, which include the jacket and bib-overall pants We do not sell each piece separately as we would end up with too many random pieces.

How are your uniforms better than others?

The quality of the fabric itself is high. It is a thicker fabric and almost feels like the real bunker gear. Party and costume stores, as well as big box stores around Halloween, offer costumes made of cheap fabric that won’t withstand wear and tear, and they lack any possibility of personalization.

How is your personalization process the best?

Firefighter turnout gear is personalized using appliqué. The process begins with designing text in software. Each jacket location requires hooping for the machine to hold the garment. After uploading the design, the machine sews a trace stitch. Then, we place fabric letters within, and the machine embroiders around them with a zigzag stitch. Appliqué ensures durability, ensuring that the uniforms are cherished even after outgrowing them, destined to be kept forever.

What are the tails?

Many Fire Departments feature tails extending below and attaching to the bottom of the bunker coat. Two types exist: rounded bottom corners or angled, with or without striping. Tails are time-consuming additions, not part of the original uniform. Sourcing matching fabric, measuring, cutting, and sewing each tail, along with the appliqué embroidery, is required. Upon completion, we sew the tails onto the bottom of the coat.

Can you make a completely different firefighter uniform like a skirt instead of pants?

We don’t make the uniforms, but do the authentic personalization of them to make them what you see pictured. Unfortunately, we do not custom make uniforms.
